In fact, I think I have an easier time explaining why men do things than I do with women. I have been writing about relationships for a while now and over the years I have noticed some prominent points of confusion, ones that seem to be shared by women of all ages from all around the world no exaggeration. I can relate to all the questions we receive on a personal level because once upon a time, I too was banging my head against the table in an effort to understand why.

Read on for universal male truths that can save your relationship and your sanity. Does He Like You? Most men see texting as nuisance. You measure the depth of a relationship by the quality of the time you spend with that person. You can spend all day going back and forth with some guy about nonsense. Countless studies have shown that women primarily gain their sense of worth and self-esteem through their interpersonal relationships while men measure their worth based on their ability to have an impact in the world and contribute in a meaningful way.

Source If a man is at work, then that is the sole center of his world and nothing exists outside of that. This is hard for most women to understand because women can switch from one task to the next and back again with much more ease. Men communicate through actions more than words We get a lot of questions that go something like:

5 Rules for Dating My Son

I moved to New York when I was 14 and desperately tried to find a balance between my culture and the new unfamiliar Western culture. Part of that American assimilation included dating. But when I finally started dating my non-Filipino boyfriend, there were a few things he needed to know: We love our family to pieces. Everyone pitches in to raise a child from grandparents to godparents to the next door neighbor.

Family is the most important thing to us — sometimes even more important to us than you.

Looking for 10 rules for Christian dating? Understanding the rules of dating within any religion can be somewhat complicated. Here are ten rules for Christian dating that you should be aware of. Respect the person you are dating. As a good Christian, it is important to take the values of the person.

He’s never been a rough and tumble sort of boy, he prefers playing pretend games and he likes drawing and doing other kinds of art projects and he likes cooking with me and helping me with the chores around the house. He doesn’t like things to be messy and actually enjoys cleaning up and “making things neat” as he puts it.

His room is always very orderly. He has a very sweet and delicate way about him and isn’t into wrestling or playing “Army men” or “Cops and Robbers” or other traditionally boyish games like this. And though he likes his little toy cars and his Lego’s he also has a thing for horses and has a collection of toy horses and My Little Pony toys. He also has some Groovy Girl dolls that he likes playing with and though he doesn’t officially have a dollhouse he does have this really cool wooden tree house that was made in Switzerland that I bought for him for Christmas a few years ago and he has an assortment of little wooden people, animals, and furniture that go along with the tree house.

There’s even little wooden plants and a toy planter boxes with holes for the plants to go in so he can pretend the little people have their own organic garden. It’s so sweet to watch him play with his little wooden people and make up these elaborate stories about what they’re doing. Unfortunately when other boys have been over to play they criticize his toys and tease him for playing with “girls toys” so he brings out his Lego’s and hos toy cars but I can see that he’s disappointed that other boys won’t play with his tree house or his My Little Pony toys.

But when girls come over to play he’s right at home with them and they play with his My Little Pony toys and they play with his Groovy Girl dolls and with the tree house and all the little wooden people and he’s happiest little boy in the world because the girls don’t criticize him and make fun of him for his choices in what toys he likes.

I’ve always encouraged him to be himself, to embrace his natural demeanor and personality, I’ve never tried to make him into more of a boy and when he’s asked for toys like Groovy Girl dolls and My Little Pony horses I’ve bought them for him without question because I really don’t see anything wrong with a boy playing with these kinds of toys. So about a year ago when Curtis had just turned six he’s seven now we went to visit a friend of mine with two daughters about Curtis’ age who had just recently become a single mother due to a divorce with her deadbeat husband.

And even though I was lucky enough to have a steady guy a single dad in the picture, questions came up all the time. Was it okay for all of us to sleep over at one of our houses? Should we take vacations together? When this relationship ended and another one began a few months later, I was in uncharted waters again. I Prefer To Dress My Son As A Girl

Here you are, single again, but this time with children. You finally meet someone you really, really like and want to introduce him to your kids. How do you go about it?

The most important part of having rules with older children is the discussion that establishes those rules. When a child is about to turn 18, parents need to have a serious discussion about what the rules are going to be in order for everyone to live together.

It was about a well known pastor, Creflo Dollar, who was arrested on charges that he allegedly choked and punched his year-old daughter. At least, this was his daughter’s side of the story. He claims that he had to restrain his daughter after she hit him first. I was inspired to write this post not by the actual story I read, but by the commentaries. A significant number of commentators took to Mr. Dollar’s side in the incident, lamenting about how unfair it was that the authorities intervened in his disciplining of his child.

Heck, even those who were critical of him, insinuated that he had spoiled his daughter with too much technology and money. This is my take, it is sad that the conflict between the father and his year-old daughter deteriorated to the point it did. Apparently it all started when she attempted to attend a party and the father refused.
